Poetry

“memory is a reservoir… Who knows what wonders we will find should we go for a swim.”

International visiting student

The Brain
A jungle of woven thread
A never-ending chain
Trees of glittering silver
Full of thought going down thinking lane

Fish in a sea of black
Dancing, always, knowing
Thoughts buzzing and lively
Talk coming and talk going

A firework display
Of Catherine wheels and thought
Always giving, always teaching
Always being taught

Growing, glowing. Knowing still
Always does and always will

Year 6 pupil
Suitability: KS2, KS3, KS4, A Level
