Description
For measurement of electric current, mirror galvanometers were widely used from about 1885 to 1900, especially by Professor Sir John Burdon Sanderson and his co-workers in Oxford.
The quicker acting capillary electrometer and the string galvanometer gradually replaced the mirror instruments.
