Description:'Dr. Thomson.
Supplies of Monkeys.
The supply of experimental monkeys in this country is now about exhausted. Apart from the ordinary use to which these animals are put, their lack may seriously hamper the work sponsored by the Brain Injuries Committee.
I have been in communication with Chapman's - the firm which normally supplies monkeys to the Institute [National Institute of Medical Research?] - and have been informed that no further importations will be sanctioned by the Board of Trade during the war.
