Sent from Florence E. Franklin
30 Nov 1908
Description:
‘Dear Sir,
It did not matter about the basket at all. People don’t generally tidy up the baskets that dogs come in, & I was much obliged by your returning it so promptly. Tong’s parents were brother & sister, but I do not know if they were of the same litter. I enclose a print taken from a magazine (4 years old) of Palace Pong, who is I think very like Tong when in full coat.
She is a very good mother, & if you breed from her with another albino I shall be interested to hear if she has albino puppies. Mrs Bennett Stanford bred Tong (& I believe Palace Ping was an albino) so I suppose Mrs Bennett Stanford owned her mother. I have never bred an albino Pekingese, but once had two white puppies, with black eyes & noses, but they were no relation to Tong.
Yrs very truly,
Florence E. Franklin.’
