Cites Brighter Homes Exhibition (Manchester, 1930).
Description:‘There was no doubt of the popularity of the inclusion of this section became with the public at the City Exhibition Hall, Manchester. Throughout the first day, April 29, the stand was absolutely crowded. Artistically displayed by Messrs. Spratt’s Patent Ltd., was the whole range of doggy requisites, medicines and appliances, and food suitable for every breed. Every breeder exhibiting had nothing but praise for the efficient manner Mr. S.J. Porter (Kristhia Kennels) had arranged for the welfare and comfort of the exhibits, many of the qualified public remarking that this venture was the best ever attempted. The doggy press was well represented with a comprehensive list of literature displayed. The exhibits on view included the following:- Irish Wolfhounds, Bloodhounds, Old English Mastiffs, and Kerry Blue Terriers.’
