'Every dog lover will have read the various reports which appeared in the press concerning the paper read at the National Conference of the Veterinary Medical Association at Scarborough a few days ago. This paper deals with hysteria in dogs, and was given by Mr. H. Hewetson, of Southport.

We had hoped that this paper might have given us some enlightenment on the subject of the origin of hysteria, but it leaves us just as ignorant on this question as we were before. The question of feeding having been brought up, we subsequently took the opportunity of interviewing a gentleman who has been associated with the dog trade for a very long period, and his views anent [sic] the speakers' remarks at the N.V.M.A. were interesting.

One point our friend was very emphatic about. He said: "You see Mr. Hewetson said that biscuits had come in for more than their fair share of blame."'
