Description:'So much has been said and written of late about the value of yeast as a vitamen [sic] supplement to the food of dogs, and so many enquiries reach me from time to time about its values that I am glad to be able to recommend for trial a preparation of which a substantial trial sample has been sent me (with full analytical particulars) by the well-known old-established firm of Freeman's Veterinary Chemists, Ltd., Causeway Mills, Blackheath, Birmingham. This is a yeast food for dogs and puppies sold under the title of "Yeastona" at what seems to be a very reasonable price which would justify its regular use. The product is in granular form, and its keeping properties (which I have tested) are all that can be desired. It has to be sprinkled on the food - or mixed with milk for puppies - thus being easy ot handle. Readers of these "Notes" concerned to give yeast a trial might very well see how "Yeastona" brand contrasts with other yeast brands now on the market, and decide themselves as to its value.'
