Cites Ronald Lawson
Description:'Disabled Persons ((Employment) Act, 1944.
Paraplegics: M.L.C.C.139 Para. 2354
Mr. Ronald DAWSON.
Forwarded herewith is form D.P.1 completed in respect of the above-named who is at present at Stoke Mandeville Hospital.
Mr. Lawson's disability, complete paralysis of both legs, is the result of a truck accident whilst serving in H.M. Forces, his treatment has included 4 months at the Head Injuries Hospital, Wheatley, Nr. Oxford, 6 weeks at York Military Hospital and 18 months at Stoke Mandeville.
Although Mr. Lawson's home is at Hull, he states that he is will not be returning there and he tells me that arrangements have been made for him to go to Lime Green Red Cross Settlement at Macclesfield where he will be employed as a cobbler, a trade in which he has been receiving instructions whilst at Stoke Mandeville.
As far as can be ascertained, Mr. Lawson will be leaving hospital in about 1 month.
