Description:'During my visit to Stoke Mandeville Hospital on 28/10/1948, I went into the cases of three paraplegic ex-W.R.A.F. Air Women with Flight-Officer Beer, Welfare Officer at Air Ministry Headquarters:-
...
2. Miss Annie C. Wendley. This girl had been reported to me from the Air Ministry as being interested in dress designing. She is about 22 and has a secondary school education. On talking to her I ascertained that she was a telephonist in the Service and would like to return to telephony. This is obviously the right course to pursue, though she will need careful placing as the bladder is affected. I will mention her case to R.O.'
