‘The methods devised and elaborated at the Ministry’s Malaria Laboratory at Horton, more especially those concerned with the mosquito transmission of malaria, have been largely adopted in many other countries. Although various steps in the technique of many of the methods have been described separately in different scientific journals, no complete account of the routine procedure now employed at Horton has been published in recent years. For this reason, Lieut.-Colonel Sinton has compiled a detailed description of these methods. It is hoped that this will be helpful to workers in this branch of medicine not only in Great Britain but also abroad.’ (3)
