‘Dear Mr Galton,
Thank you extremely for bearing my needs in mind. I shall write to Dr Boas in a day or two with one or two others you have referred to; the examinations has [sic] been impossible for me. Quite apart from heredity, a comparison of the correlation for any two organs in N. Amer. Indians & Modern English would be of much interest, especially with a view to testing their constancy for man...’
