Sent from Karl Pearson
27 Dec 1894
Description:
‘Dear Mr Galton,
...
The continued analysis of skull measurements leads to very interesting results. The only case of any significant difference between variation in male & female skulls that I have yet reached is with the Ainos [sic] & here the women have the advantage of the men. Both have compared with European nations, a very low coefficient of variation, but the ratio 13:12 suggested by you is fairly well maintained even in Aino skull capacities.
Yours very faithfully,
Karl Pearson.’
