Description:
‘I have a great deal of data as to negro albinism, & if half of it is to be trusted, the albinotic negro is not comparable with the normal white man because he [the white man] possesses the true albinotic characters, absence of pigmentation & the peculiar eyes...
There are lots of cases of albinotic negroes in Africa & I will look them up. But of course it is always possible to say a white man had “crossed” the continent in a double sense!.’
