Sent from Charles Howard Usher
2 Feb 1911
Description:
‘Dear Pearson,
Spook’s offspring, alas, are all dead 2 ♀ & 3 ♂. She appears to have killed the last 2 with her teeth, for one had a fractured skull probably done with a tooth & the other had an eye & eyelid badly marked. Cause of death in these was apparently from septic poisoning. Spook is about 44 miles from here [see later correspondence] & no doubt we will hear more about the deaths. Skin & eyes of course have been kept & are very albinotic.
... [re: concidental arrival at hospital of ‘3 fresh human albinos’ unrelated to each other; need for corrections to Alb. Pt. I; will soon send further albino pedigrees]’
