Dogs’ photos. Nearly all are poor. The Strathdon lot [of dogs are] 50 miles from here. I tried [photographing them] one wet Sunday, but I got nothing satisfactory. A local photographer has since tried, but the only one he has sent is the mounted one. I am therefore sending some of the attempts made on the wet Sunday such as they are [not present]. The black pup is one of the Edinburgh lot & was photographed by Dr H. Howard Jones, if any of his photos are used kindly acknowledge them. He sent photos of 2 other Edinburgh dogs, but I sent them to Mr. N. when the duplicate prints come I shall send them. Mairi bahn is here, another attempt must be made for her photo is very poor. Cyclops had an inflamed eye which we had to remove.
