Sent from Charles Howard Usher
20 Apr 1912
Description:
‘Dear Pearson,
Donald dhu. The discharge from his eyes is something new & may perhaps account for his dislike to sunlight. I had no suspicion that he lacked full retinal pigment & have never examined ophthalmoscopically [sic]. His iris is darker than those of 2 Pom-peks whose coats are nearly black but have a red tinge.
I should certainly leave the remarks as to Hindhead.
Perhaps the island in Christinana fiord [sic] where your hares came from is not a high one.
Yours sincerely,
C.H. Usher.’
