Sent from Charles Howard Usher
6 Feb 1913
Description:
‘Dear Pearson,
I hope you are quite well again.
Five pups arrived yesterday (Feb. 5, 1913) 3 black (2 ♂ [1] ♀) & 2 chocolate colour, both males. They all have a white patch on chest.
Sire is Prince, a black pomeranian a pup of Olga’s sister.
Dam is Beenie a pekingese albino. Her mother’s father is Wee-Wong of Westbury & I suppose a full brother of Jack & Jill for parents of Wee-Wong are Wong Sing of Braewick & Patty of Braewick.
How do you explain this appearance of chocolate in 2 of the pups.
The man who had prince says that when black pomeranians are mated with white they get chocolate.
Yours sincerely,
C.H. Usher.
Measurements later.
The surviving Pompek x Pompek pup is a beauty.’
