‘Dear Pearson,
Yours of Feb. 8th. thank you.
The two chocolate pups are alive to-day. One is small & may not survive. Particular attention is being given to it.
I shall be surprised if the chocolate colour is replaced by black.
Have not yet enquired again as to chocolate in Prince’s ancestors.
