Sent from Charles Howard Usher
1 Mar 1913
Description:
‘Dear Pearson,
Apologies for my abominable writing. I shall try to reform.
(i) Pedigree of Dido. The word after Morule is Imp. wh. means imported & therefore its pedigree is not recognised.
(ii) The colours of Pompom & Beauty were unknown to Mr Currie but he will try to find out now.
(iii) Victoria Chocolate Shamrock is the name of one dog. I was uncertain at the time about the three names & on hearing from Mr Currie I made the pencil marks & pencil notes. The pencil words you ask about are “all one dog.” It does not mean that several sires had access.
I have not settled which of the albino dogs is to mate Garthonzie [sic] bhan. There are several ♂ [filled] pekinese available.
Yours sincerely,
C.H. Usher.
Victoria Chocolate Shamrock was not chocolate but brown.’
