Sent from Charles Howard Usher
8 Mar 1915
Description:
‘Dear Pearson,
It is very unfortunate that you are laid up again and I hope that it may be no more than a ‘cold.’ Is the sciatica quite away?
Frigg’s eyes. It did not occur to me that there was any difference in the curvature of the corneae. You say lens curvature – how did you estimate the difference in their curvatures was it by the distance of surface of iris from anterior surface of cornea. The diameters of cornea are the same, & on holding the eyes to observe the cornea in profile I could detect no difference. The point might be settled with an ophthalmometer, but there evidently is not much difference.
Fat, deposits of it in intestine of Frigg. I do not think that these were caused by phosphorous poisoning. I have asked a few men about the point & none of them knew of deposits such as you describe being caused by phosphorous.
