Sent from Charles Howard Usher
28 May 1915
Description:
‘Dear Pearson,
The five pairs of pup eyes arrived in good order and will receive attention. The Cornaz eyes should be interesting.
If Kenneth is no use for breeding purposes I would suggest chloroform, so that his skeleton and coat & eyes may be dealt with at once – this wd. give a first c[ro?]ss skeleton.
It is vexing that some of the bones of the two skeletons are missing and it is difficult to account for.
It might be instructive and bring out new features if all the skins were placed together, that mere description of individual coats would not do. It wd. require a large wall, however, to hang them up on. Would you like the skins that are here? If so, please say and they will be sent. You may consider it too early for such a general inspection.
Yrs. sincerely,
C.H. Usher.’
