Sent from Charles Howard Usher
18 Jan 1933
Description:‘Dear Pearson,
1. These are the sections from two eyes with blue iris. Also Ballantyne’s letter [not present]. He is one of the best Glasgow eye men. Both eyes were examined by 1) pocket lens & 2) slit lamp. This is strictly so for Dr Miller’s case, but Ballantyne’s eye had already been examined before he got my letter, so he examined the other eye.
2. Oph. Soc. meeting & my proposed remarks. A preliminary notice says that Prof. Punnet is to read a paper on Mendelism & that is to be followed by a discussion on Heredity and Eye Diseases to be opened by C.H.U., Prof. van Duyser (a senior Paris ophthalmologist) and Ida Mann.
If convenient for you I shall call again on Friday about 11.30 – the above [‘Durrant’s Hotel, Manchester Sq., London, W.1’] is my address.
Yrs Sincerely,
C.H. Usher.’
