Description:‘My dear Pearson,
... [re: physiology of squint and its relation to albinism] ...
The albino dogs all, or at least all I have now, have divergent squint; I forget about Tong. You will see that when they are looking at anything with either eye the other eye is directed at perhaps 90° or even more to the side of the head.

It is not because they are albinos but because they have always seen badly.
...
Yrs very sincerely,
E. Nettleship
Sorry about Tong.
My Jill (sister of Tong’s husband Jack) is again pregnant & due the end of this month.
I know a lady who is, or was, in touch with high bred black poodles & when Tong shows signs again you may like to tell me & I would enquire; she is Mrs Doyne wife of Doyne an Ophthalmic Surgeon of Cavendish Sq.
One or two probable acceptors of puppies, but I believe in none of them till they come to the scratch.’
