Description:
‘My dear Pearson,
Do you remember whether you have an Icelandic Albino who is in England on show, or has been until lately? He was, I am told, at the Hippodrome but is somewhere else now. Very likely you have got him. He is known as “Tom Jack” & also “The Ice King.”
I am trying to find out whether he is really of Iceland breed or only an immigrant or a liar from the South. If you already have him I need not bother; bit if you have not I will do what is possible if his “Agents” (Marinelli & Co. who write quite civilly) are able to give any clue.
...
Jill has 4 new puppies (a week ago), 1 (♂), 3 (♀): the ♂ died at once (? why), & one of the ♀‘s 2 days later; the other 2 well so far. All of the usual sort, albinos.
Yrs sincerely,
E. Nettleship.’
