Description:
‘My Dear Pearson,
Yours of 14th.
I am writing to Dr. van Snick[?].
Puppies – Surely advertising would be the next best thing? There must be people willing & able to do what it wanted & near enough to London.
I feel very unhelpful about it. At a guess one wd. think some people, who[se?] poultry-farm might do, anyway to start upon. Some of them I expect have more “runs” than they can always use & then general dimensions & the sort of attention required are not so very discrepant for small dogs & for hens? “Kennel News” [address given] “The Field,” “The Kennel” [address given], “Exchange & Mart” (I don’t know addresses of Field & Exchange & Mart)
You might also write to Professor Hobday F.R.C.U.S. of I think Church Street; Kensington W. He runs one of the London Veterinary Journals (? exact title) & is credited with being a good Vet. I know he has a big practice in dogs. I once called on him. You can mention my name. It might be worth advocating in his Journal or asking to put a request notice in?
Yrs E. Nettleship.
