Re: Mrs Weldon.
‘I must I fear get rid of Ming Wang. He has been very naughty recently. No mess in his cage, but the moment he is let out for a run into the room, he performs in the nastiest manner, and this is most objectionable because he seems to be out of sorts in this respect. I wanted to try him in the kennel, but Louisa said he caught cold. I don’t think it’s cold, because Ling has been suffering from it also. I expect they have been sending inferior meat. But L. never seems to know that there is any change in it. Ting & her puppies are well. I shall have to start the R.I. lecture on Friday as there is now only a week.’
