Sent from Maria Sharpe Pearson
24 May 1914
Description:‘I think I will only write a card this afternoon after my snooze to say that H. is decidedly better, & been able to take some short runs. It is grey & there have been showers but the ground seems to dry soon. A. [illeg.] brought Rachel Montagne & she & H. have been able to amuse each other with drawing & games. Ling who has been very good on the whole has been tiresome with R. but she is courageous & has learnt caution also. I was delighted to hear the north had braced rather than fatigued you [as] it seems to do us. I only hope you are resting today.’
