Description:
‘Dearest Wife,
Your letter this morning made me feel how brutal my letter of last night was! But I could not bear to think of Helga & you waiting up all night for two nights running. Poor little Megan, you would have felt so happy to have her saved through all your efforts. I shall come down tomorrow night after all now. I am more or less resting today. Keep food cards till my arrival.
Ever your own,
K.P.’
