Description:'The Nursing Mirror mockingly noticed “an amusing similarity” in the rules for trainees of the [Canine Nurses'] institute and those to which employees of Guy’s Hospital were expected to adhere. While it admitted that canine nursing might constitute a new profession, it nevertheless hoped that “the canine nurse, in her becoming uniform, will not be followed by the ‘equine’ nurse or the ‘bovine’ nurse in other becoming uniforms.” [note: '“Nurses for Dogs,” Nursing Mirror 7 (1 August 1908): 277.']' (302)
