Cites Brighter Homes Exhibition (Manchester, 1930).
Description:'the wonderful display of pedigree dogs is sure to be commented upon.
80 Breeds of Dogs.
This is [sic] being exhibited by Mr. Stanley J. Porter, of the Krithia Alsatian Kennels, Bridlington-road, Stockport, and he hopes to show specimens of each one of the 80 old breeds officially recognised by the Kennel Club.
Every type of dog from a Pekingese to an Irish wolf-hound will be seen, and among the unusual species will be a keeshond, or Dutch barge dog, which is becoming increasingly popular among dog lovers in this country. Champion mastiffs, bloodhounds, Kerry bues [sic], and Alsatians will also be there.
Two exhibits that will attract general attention will be a "Pom" weighing 1 1/4 lb, and an Irish wolf-hound standing 42 inches high at the shoulder. Another interesting entry is a miniature rough-haired terrier named Bolshevist, who is perfect in shape and proportions.'
