Dodd notes that 'Little is known' of Budgen, 'who published under the pseudonym of "Acheta Domestica, M.E.S." - Acheta domestica being the name of the european house cricket. Her other works include March Winds and April Showers (1854), May Flowers (1855), and the somewhat hallucinatory fireside companion Live Coals; or, Faces from the Fire (1867). (155)
