Sent from Karl Pearson

Description:
‘Dear Mr Vice-Chancellor
...
It seems to me that you have misunderstood the purpose of my letter which is to have the position of the Galton Professor with regard to the Galton Committee placed on a definite footing by the Senate. There surely must be some manner in which that question can be raised, and it appears to me that I do rightly in asking you to convey my wishes to have some ruling in the matter from the Senate. If you say that such a communication cannot be made through the Vice-Chancellor, I fear, I must ask you who is the right person to appeal to in the matter.’
