Description:
‘My dear uncle Ned
Mrs Lang wd like the pup very much. She says “I should love to have the dog. I don’t think opne of that size and innocence would be difficult to keep here, & it looks like a perfect dear, won’t your uncle let me give him something for it for I know they are valuable dogs and of course he could have it anytime he wanted it. It will be a real joy to have it but I expect it will get shockingly spoilt.”
I wuote all this at length because you can write to her yourself. Please tell her all about it’s food and everything – also how warm it has to be kept and all that – and about exercise (she has got a small garden).
She says that if you can get it to Reading, she or her maid will meet it there.
Yout lving[?] niece,
Edith.
Address:
Mrs Lang,
Pendeen,
Wargrave on Thames.’
