Sent G. de J. Williams to E. Nettleship, 23rd Sept. 1910.
23 Sep 1910
Description:
‘Dear Dr Nettleship,
I hear Mr Fearon has written to you direct about his Aberdeens – In our Fox Terriers the skin under the white hair appears to me to be of a much darker tone of lead than that under the black hair – there seems more pink in the tone under the black hair & lighter. Her puppies always had pink noses when born which as far as I can remember turned black at about a fortnight old or when they began to open their eyes. The roof of my dogs mouth is partly black & the outside of lips black. Her head is black & tan. We once had a collie with a wall eye buit that is the only one I have known & she was grey & white & black.
You will five our kindest rememberances to Mrs Nettleship.
Yours sincerely,
Gertrude de Julia Williams.’
